미국 흑곰

미국 흑곰은 북아메리카에 널리 서식하는 곰의 일종으로 미국 및 캐나다의 대부분 주에 발견되며, 일부는 멕시코에 출현하기도 한다. 아시아흑곰과 공통조상을 지닌다. 몸길이는 150에서 180센티미터이며, 수컷이 암컷보다 더 크다. 잡 회색곰같은 포식자와 같이 살지 않는 이상 그 지역의 생태계의 최상위 육식동물 를 차지한다.
