그림 형제

그림 형제는 독일의 야코프 그림과 빌헬름 그림이다. 두 형제는 모두 언어학을 전공했고, 함께 여러 동화를 썼다. 유로화가 도입되기 이전에, 1000 마르크짜리 독일 지폐에는 그림 형제의 모습이 실려 있었다. 독일 민중들을 통해 구전되던 이야기들을 수집하여 편집한 '그림동화'로 유명하다. 백설公主, 잠자는 숲 속의 미녀, 라푼젤, 신데렐라, 헨젤과 그레텔, 늑대와 일곱 마리 아기 염소, 브레멘 음악대와 같은 작품이 있다.

Grimm Brothers

The Brothers Grimm, Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm, were German academics, philologists, cultural researchers, lexicographers and authors who together collected and published folklore during the 19th century. They were among the first and best-known collectors of folk tales, and popularized traditional oral tale types such as "Cinderella", "The Frog Prince", "The Goose-Girl", "Hansel and Gretel", "Rapunzel", "Rumpelstiltskin", "Sleeping Beauty", and "Snow White".
