Oka Nature Reserve

Oka Nature Reserve is a Russian 'zapovednik' located in the Meschera lowlands, the floodplain of the Oka River the Pra River. With extensive lowland rivers and forested peatlands, the reserve is an important area for waterfowl and waders.

러시아 데스만

러시아 데스만은 진무맹장목 두더지과에 속하는 포유류의 일종이다. 데스만 속의 유일종이다. 러시아어이름은 비후홀이다. 우크라이나, 카자흐스탄, 벨라루스, 러시아 서부 (볼가강, 우랄강 하류지역, 돈 강)에 서식한다.

Russian Desman

The Russian desman is a small semiaquatic mammal that inhabits the Volga, Don and Ural River basins in Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan. It constructs burrows into the banks of ponds and slow-moving streams, but prefers small, overgrown ponds with abundance of insects, crayfish and amphibians.
