오스트레일리아 악어

오스트레일리아 악어는 민물악어, 존스톤악어 라고도 불리는 호주 북부에 서식하는 악어의 한 종류이다. 훨씬 더 큰 호주 친척인 바다악어들과 달리, 오스트레일리아악어들은 사람이 먹는 것으로 알려져 있지 않고, 궁지에 몰린다면 자기 방어를 깨물겠지만 거의 사망을 일으키지 않았다.

Freshwater crocodile

The freshwater crocodile, also known as the Australian freshwater crocodile, Johnstone's crocodile or colloquially as freshie, is a species of crocodile endemic to the northern regions of Australia. Unlike their much larger Australian relative, the saltwater crocodile, freshwater crocodiles are not known as man-eaters and rarely cause fatalities, although they will bite in self-defence if cornered.
