이사벨 1세 (1451-1504)

이사벨 1세는 트라스타마라 왕가 출신의 카스티야 여왕이다. 별명은 카톨릭 여왕. 남편 페르난도 2세와 더불어 부부 군주 가톨릭 군주로 불린다. 레온과 카스티야의 상속녀였던 이사벨은 아라곤의 페르난도 2세와 결혼하여 영토를 통합하고 공동 군주가 되어 스페인을 재통일하였다.

Isabella I (1451-1504)

Isabella I reigned as Queen of Castile from 1474 until her death. Her marriage to Ferdinand II of Aragon became the basis for the political unification of Spain under their grandson, Charles I. After a struggle to claim her right to the throne, she reorganized the governmental system, brought the crime rate to the lowest it had been in years, and unburdened the kingdom of the enormous debt her brother had left behind.

그라나다 조약

그라나다의 술탄 보브딜과 페르디난드와 이사벨라, 카스티야, 레온, 카스티야 왕후 사이에 1491년 11월 25일에 서명되고 비준되었다. 1482년에 시작된 그라나다전쟁은 1491년 봄부터 그라나다의 포위와 전투로 막을 내렸다. 그라나다의 항복이라고도 알려진 이조약은 짧은 휴전을 제공했고, 1492년 1월에 가톨릭 군주에게 무어 에미리트 그라나다의 통치권을 포기했다.

Treaty of Granada

The Treaty of Granada was signed and ratified on November 25, 1491 between Boabdil, the sultan of Granada, and Ferdinand and Isabella, the King and Queen of Castile, León, Aragon and Sicily. It ended the Granada War which had started in 1482, culminating in the siege and battle of Granada beginning in spring 1491.
