중국식 어망

중국식 어망은 코친항구에 있는 중국 광동성의 어업방식으로, 1400년경 코친으로 전해졌다. 현재는 코친항을 대표하는 볼거리로 커다란 그물이 인상적이며, 고기를 잡는 용도보다 관광객을 끌어모으는 용도로 쓰이고 있다.

While commonly known as "Chinese fishing nets" in India, the more formal name for such nets is "shore operated lift nets". Huge mechanical contrivances hold out horizontal nets of 20 m or more across.
