만주국(滿洲國 1932-1945)

만주국 외에 등으로 만주국의 공문서에서도 일정하게 쓰이지 않았기 때문에 어떤 것이 공식 국호인지는 확실하지 않지만, '만주국'이 가장 일반적인 호칭이었던 것은 분명하다. 중화인민공화국과 중화민국에서는 만주국이 일본 제국의 괴뢰정부였다는 뜻에서 위만주국, 약칭 위만(僞滿)이라고 낮추어 부르기도 한다.

Manchukuo (1932-1945)

Manchukuo, officially the State of Manchuria prior to 1934 and the Empire of Manchuria after 1934, was a puppet state of the Empire of Japan in Northeast China and Inner Mongolia from 1932 until 1945. It was founded in 1932 after the Japanese invasion of Manchuria, and in 1934 it became a constitutional monarchy. Under the de facto control of Japan, it had limited international recognition. The area was the homeland of the Manchus, including the emperors of the Qing dynasty. In 1931, the region was seized by Japan following the Mukden Incident.
