Numazu Deep Blue Aquarium
One of the few aquariums around the world that exhibits unique deep sea creatures collected from around the globe. In particular, it features organisms that live in Suruga Bay, the deepest aquatic area of Japan, which has a maximum depth of 2,500 m. Some of the highlights include mysterious creatures like the five frozen and taxidermic coelacanths, the so-called "living fossils", known to have been living in the deep sea for 350 million years, and the popular giant isopods. Fun for adults and children alike.
