정송강사 (鄭松江祠)

충청북도 기념물 제9호. 조선 선조 때의 문신이며 시인인 송강정철의 위패를 봉안하는 사당이다. 원래 송강의 묘소는 경기도 고양에 있었는데 1665년(현종 6)에 송시열(宋時烈)이 묘소를 지금의 자리로 정하고 후손 정포가 이장하여 사우를 창건하였다. 그 뒤 여러 차례 보수하였으나 규모가 작고 퇴락하여 1979년부터 1981년에 걸쳐 전면 중건하고 정화하였다.

Shrine of Jeong Songgang

Shrine of Jeong Song-gang in Jincheon is the local monument No. 9 as the shrine that a tablet of Songgang Jeongcheol was set up. Jeongcheol was the first vice-premier as the politician in the Joseon Dynasty. He was a secret royal inspector in Hamgyeong-do after becoming Jipyeong as he won the first place in state examinations (Jinsa and Byeolsimnugwan) in the 16th year of the reign of King Myeongjong as a writer with Kim Inhu. And he received special favors of Sagadokseo with Yulgok.
