아웅산 (1915-1947)
보죠케 아웅 산은 미얀마(버마)의 독립운동 혁명가, 정치인, 군인이다. 버마의 독립에 결정적 공헌을 했으나, 그 자신은 독립 달성 6개월전에 암살되었다. 현재까지 미얀마 국민들로부터 "민족의 영웅"으로 추앙받고 있다. 그는 노벨 평화상을 수상한 아웅 산 수 치의 아버지이기도 하다.

Aung San (1915-1947)
Bogyoke Aung San was a Burmese politician and revolutionary. He served as the 5th Premier of the British Crown Colony of Burma from 1946 to 1947. Initially he was a communist and later a social democratic politician. He was known as a revolutionary, nationalist, and as the founder of the Tatmadaw (modern-day Myanmar Armed Forces), and is considered as the Father of the Nation of modern-day Myanmar. He was one of the co-founder and first General Secretary of the Communist Party of Burma, one of the armed revolution group during post-colonial Burma after his death.
