피그미마모셋

피그미마모셋는 브라질 서부, 콜롬비아 남동부, 에콰도르 동부, 페루 동부의 우림 캐노피가 원산지인 원숭이다. 피그미마모셋은 몸 길이가 14~16 cm로 가장 작은 영장류 중의 하나이고, 진원류 원숭이에서는 가장 작다. 몸무게는 숫컷이 약 140g, 암컷은 불과 약 120g이다.

Pygmy Marmoset

The pygmy marmoset, genus Cebuella, is a small genus of New World monkey native to rainforests of the western Amazon Basin in South America. It is notable for being the smallest monkey and one of the smallest primates in the world, at just over 100 grams. It is generally found in evergreen and river-edge forests and is a gum-feeding specialist, or a gummivore.
