조제핀 드 보아르네 (1763-1814)

나폴레옹의 아내로, 프랑스 제국의 황후면서 루이 보나파르트의 한때 형수이자 장모 그리고 나폴레옹 3세의 외할머니이다. 조제핀은 파리 사교계에서 미모 덕분에 명성을 날려 총재정부의 주역이었던 폴 프랑수아 바라스를 포함한 몇몇 정치인의 애인으로 지내던 중 자신보다 6살 어린 나폴레옹의 구혼을 받아들여 1796년 3월 9일 결혼하였다.

Château de Malmaison

The Château de Malmaison is a French château situated near the left bank of the Seine, about 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) west of the centre of Paris, in the commune of Rueil-Malmaison. Formerly the residence of Empress Joséphine de Beauharnais, along with the Tuileries it was the headquarters of the French government from 1800 to 1802, and Napoleon's last residence in France at the end of the Hundred Days in 1815.
