로스알레르세스 국립공원

로스알레르세스 국립공원은 풍부한 강설과 강수 때문에 강을 따라 연속적으로 나타나는 배수를 조절하는 호수의 복합시스템을 지닌 푸탈레우푸 강 유역에 있다. 전체 유산의 상당 부분은 파타고니아 숲이다. 파타고니아 숲은 칠레 남부 일부와 아르헨티나에 걸쳐 있다. 파타고니아 숲은 세계 5대 온대림의 유형 중 하나이자 중남미 지역 유일의 온대림 생태 지역이다.

Los Alerces National Park

The Los Alerces National Park is located in the Andes of northern Patagonia and its western boundary coincides with the Chilean border. Successive glaciations have moulded the landscape in the region creating spectacular features such as moraines, glacial cirques and clear-water lakes. The vegetation is dominated by dense temperate forests, which give way to alpine meadows higher up under the rocky Andean peaks.
