가리발디 광장

가리발디 광장은 다양한 이번트가 열리는 광장이다. 밤이되면 커다랗고 화려한 장식이 된 솜브레로를 쓴 마리아치 그룹들이 길거리에서부터 서로 자기들의 노래를 들어달라고 호객행위를 한다. 광장 여기저기서 들려오는 마리아치들의 노래에 귀 기울이며 즐거워하는 관광객, 여행자들 모두 노래에 취하게 만드는 낭만적인 곳이다. 광장 주변에는 값싼 레스토랑과 바들도 많으며, 광장의 뒷편에는 거대한 시장이 있다.

Plaza Garibaldi

Plaza Garibaldi is located in historic downtown Mexico City, on Eje Central between historic Calle República de Honduras and Calle República de Peru, a few blocks north of the Palacio de Bellas Artes. The original name of this plaza was Plaza Santa Cecilia, but in 1920, at the conclusion of the Mexican Revolution, it was renamed in honor of Lt. Col. José Garibaldi, who joined with the Maderistas in the attack on Casas Grandes, Chihuahua, during the Revolution.

마리아치

마리아치는 멕시코의 민속음악을 연주하는 표준 편성의 악단이다. 이것은 칸시온 프란첼라의 반주에 응용되어 상업적으로 성공을 거두게 되었다. 악기 편성은 보통 기타1-3, 바이올린 2-5, 기타 각종 악기 3-5 정도로, 합계 5명에서 10여명 정도로 한다. 이 느낌을 미국의 재즈 밴드에 끌어들인 것을 아메리아치라고 한다.

Mariachi

Mariachi is a style of music and musical group performance that dates back to at least 18th century, evolving over time in the countryside of various regions of western Mexico. It has a distinctive instrumentation, musical genre, performance and singing styles, and clothing.
