영화의 전당

여기가 시네마 파라디소, 세계인의 영화 축제가 된 부산영화제가 열리는 곳이다. 시네마운틴, 비프힐, 더블콘 등 3개 건물 안에는 크고 작은 상영 극장이 있다. 시설 견학 프로그램을 운영하며 영화 관련 강좌가 항상 열린다. 한국의 시네마 천국! 두 말 필요 없는 부산의 대표 스팟이다.

Busan Cinema Center

The 'Home of Cinema in Busan' is located within the Centum City Industrial Complex in Haeundaegu. The hall is 54,335㎡ . The main building is 9 stories high. The hall consists of 3 theaters, 'Cine Mountain' which is a multi-purpose performance space where you can enjoy movies, musicals and concerts, 'an Outdoor Performance Space' where the opening and closing ceremonies of the Busan International Film Festival' are held, 'an Outdoor Square' and 'BIFF Hill' where BIFF headquarters is located

부산국제영화제

부산국제영화제는 1996년 한국의 첫 국제영화제로 출범한 이래 세계에서 가장 역동적인 영화제이자, 아시아 영화 축제로 자리잡았다. 부산국제영화제는 문화예술도시 부산의 국제적 이미지 제고와 더불어 세계 영화계에서 한국영화의 위상을 높이며, 제작 및 배급여건을 향상시키는 등 한국영화 발전의 원동력으로 기능해 왔다. 또한 다양한 장르와 다양한 지역의 영화를 통해 세계영화의 흐름을 조망할 수 있는 장을 마련함과 동시에 재능 있는 아시아 감독 및 영화들을 발견하고 지원하며, 이를 통해 아시아 영화의 비전을 제시해 왔다. 부산국제영화제는 앞으로 영상산업 발전의 중심지로서 아시아 영화를 위한 공동투자 마켓 형성, 한국 및 아시아 영화 제작지원의 활성화 등 다양한 노력을 계속할 것이다.

Busan International Film Festival

Ceasing to be simply an Asian event, this film festival has now become a global one, with some 300 movies invited from 60 or 70 countries and shown at cinema houses of the BIFF Square and elsewhere in Busan. Movie stars and directors of worldwide fame attend this festival and various events including the annual handprinting ceremonies take pla ce.
