삼성 라이온즈는 대구광역시를 연고지로 하는 KBO 소속 프로야구 팀이다. 법적으로는 주식회사이며, 제일기획의 자회사이다. 홈구장은 대구 삼성 라이온즈 파크이다. 1982년 2월 3일 대구 ·경상북도를 연고지로 창단되었으며, 초대 사장 겸 단장은 이수빈, 감독은 서영무, 구단주는 이건희였다.

The Samsung Lions are a South Korean professional baseball team founded in 1982. They are based in the southeastern city of Daegu and are members of the KBO League. Their home stadium is Daegu Samsung Lions Park. They have won the Korean Series eight times.
