인민대회당

인민대회당은 중화인민공화국의 수도 베이징 천안문 광장 서쪽에 위치한 건축물로, 중국의 국회에 해당하는 전국인민대표대회가 개최되는 장소이다. 전국인민대표대회는 중국인민정치협상회의와 함께 매년 3월에 개회한다.

Great Hall of the People

The Great Hall of the People is a state building located at the western edge of Tiananmen Square in Beijing. It is used for legislative and ceremonial activities by the government of the People's Republic of China (PRC) and the ruling Chinese Communist Party.

양회

중국의 가장 중요한 정치행사 중의 하나로, 전국인민대표대회(전인대)와 중국인민정치협상회의(정협)를 이르는 말이다. 매년 3월에 열린다. 전인대는 전국 각지에 있는 인민 대표들이 1년에 한 차례씩 모여 국가의 중요한 정책을 결정하는 행사이다. 정협은 중국공산당의 정책 결정에 영향을 미치는 정책자문기구로, 국가정책을 논의하고 이를 바탕으로 전인대에 법안을 건의하는 역할을 맡는다. 중국공산당을 비롯해 민주당파, 인민단체, 소수민족, 재외동포 등 34개 영역을 대표하는 전국위원들로 구성된다. 정협 전국위원은 전인대와는 달리 추천 방식으로 선출되며, 임기는 5년이다.

Two Sessions

The Two Sessions (NPC & CPPCC National Committee annual sessions), or in Chinese Lianghui is a common Mandarin Chinese abbreviation for a pair of organizations which have close relations. In the Chinese government, the term refers to the annual plenary sessions of the national or local People's Congress and the national or local committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.
