중국공산당 창당 (1921.7.23)
중국공산당 창당 대회는 1921년 7월 23일부터 31일까지 열렸다. 이 당시에는 오직 50여 명의 당원들만 있었고, 그 이후부터는 급격한 성장세를 보이며 팽창해나가기 시작하였다. 본디 중국공산당 창당 대회는 상하이의 프랑스 조계에서 개최되었으나, 회의 중간인 7월 30일에 프랑스 경찰의 탄압으로 인하여 상하이에서 쫓겨나 31일에는 저장성 난호 위에 떠있는 배 위에서 회의를 진행하기도 했다. 이 때 중국공산당은 프랑스의 탄압으로 워낙 혼란스러웠던 터라 리다자오나 천두슈도 이 회의에 참여치 못하였고, 오직 12명의 대표들만 모여 회의를 할 수 있었다고 전해진다. 회의 마지막 날이었던 31일, 대표들은 중국공산당의 창당을 공식적으로 선포하였고, 천두슈를 대표로 선출하였다.
