북극곰
북극곰은 북빙양과 그 부속 바다 및 주위 육지를 아우르는 북극권에 널리 서식하는 육식성 곰이다. 북극곰은 잡식성인 코디악곰과 함께 세계에서 가장 큰 곰 중 하나이며, 두 종의 크기는 대략 같다. 성체 수컷의 몸무게는 대략 350 ~ 700 kg, 성체 암컷의 몸무게는 그것의 절반 정도이다.
