웨스트민스터 사원
런던 웨스트민스터에 있는 고딕 양식의 거대한 성공회 성당이다. 서쪽으로는 웨스트민스터 궁전(영국 국회의사당)과 인접해 있다. 전통적으로 이곳은 영국 왕의 대관식 등 왕실 행사를 거행하거나 매장터로 이용하는 곳이다. 부근에 있는 웨스트민스터 대성당은 로마 가톨릭교회 소속으로 이곳 사원과는 전혀 별개의 것이다. 1066년 해럴드 2세와 윌리엄 1세 두 왕들의 대관식 이후로 모든 잉글랜드와 영국의 군주들(대관식을 거행하지 않은 에드워드 5세와 에드워드 8세 제외)은 웨스트민스터 사원에서 왕위에 올랐다.

Westminster Abbey
Westminster Abbey is an Anglican church in the City of Westminster, London, England. Since 1066, it has been the location of the coronations of 40 English and British monarchs and a burial site for 18 English, Scottish, and British monarchs. At least 16 royal weddings have taken place at the abbey since 1100.
