빠똥

빠똥은 태국 푸껫 서해안에 있는 푸껫 최대의 해변이다. 푸껫 중에서도 인기 있는 리조트 지역이며, 해변 근처에는 호텔이나 음식점이 많이 들어서 있다. 나이트 라이프로 유명한 방글라 거리에는 바 등이 많아 자정까지 여행자로 붐비고 있다. 2004년 12월 26일 2004년 인도양 지진 해일이 발생할 때에 일어난 대규모 해일에 의해 다수의 사상자를 냈다. 해변 근처의 호텔 · 레스토랑 · 상점 등의 관광 시설도 대부분 파괴되었다.

Patong

Patong refers to the beach and town on Phuket's west coast. It is the main tourist resort on the island of Phuket, and is the center of Phuket's nightlife and shopping. The beach became popular with Western tourists, especially Europeans, in the late-1980s. It has numerous hotels and the area has expanded into a tourist Mecca.

푸껫 (도시)

푸껫(Phuket)은 태국 푸껫 섬의 남동쪽에 위치한 도시이다. 섬 전체를 포함하는 푸껫 주의 주도이다. 인구는 2007년 기준으로 75,573명이다. 므앙푸껫 군에 속한다. 쾨펜의 기후 구분에 따르면 푸껫은 열대 몬순 기후이다. 적도에 근접해있기 때문에 연중 기온 변화가 적다. 도시의 연평균 최고기온은 32 °C, 연평균 최저기온은 24 °C이다. 푸껫은 12월부터 3월까지 건기이고 나머지 8달은 우기이다.

Phuket City

Phuket City is a city in the south-east of Phuket island, Thailand. It is the capital of Phuket Province. As of 2007 the city had a population of 75,573. It covers the subdistricts (tambon) Talat Yai (Thai: ตลาดใหญ่) and Talat Nuea of Mueang Phuket district.
