쓰시마해전 (러일전쟁)

쓰시마 해전은 1905년 러일 전쟁 중 쓰시마 섬 부근 바다에서 일본 연합함대와 러시아 발트 함대 사이에서 벌어진 전투이다. 노급전함을 주력으로 한 함대가 정면으로 격돌한 최대의 해전이었다. 일본 해군이 승리했고, 러시아 발트해 함대는 전멸했다.

The Battle of Tsushima, also known as the Battle of Tsushima Strait and the Naval Battle of the Sea of Japan in Japan, was a major naval battle fought between Russia and Japan during the Russo-Japanese War. It was naval history's first decisive sea battle fought by modern steel battleship fleets, and the first naval battle in which wireless telegraphy (radio) played a critically important role. It has been characterized as the "dying echo of the old era – for the last time in the history of naval warfare, ships of the line of a beaten fleet surrendered on the high seas".
