치러우라오제 (기루노가)

하이커우시에서 가장 특색 있는 거리 경관을 보유한 치러우라오제 (骑楼老街 기루노가)는 오늘날까지600여년의 역사를 보유하고 있다. 하이커우의 치러우라오제를 걸으면 거리 주변의 아름다운 건축물들을 감상할 수 있다. 거리의 양쪽에는 19세기말에 신축된 남양스타일의 테라스 양식의 빌딩들이 줄지어 있으며 유럽 풍과 아시아 풍이 어우러진 대표적인 도시 풍경을 자랑한다. 거리 양쪽에 펼쳐진 빌딩들의 아래 층은 테라스 형식으로 되어 사람들이 지나다닐 수 있고, 비와 햇빛을 막아준다. 빌딩의 위층은 사람들이 지나다니는 도로 위에 지어져, 산책을 즐기며 경치를 구경하기에 적합하다.

Haikou Arcaded Streets

Haikou Arcaded Streets is the most distinctive streets in Haikou City. Haikou Arcaded Streets won the title of the first ten "Chinese historical and cultural street" with its uniqueness and peculiarity. Most arcades are built by overseas Chinese who came back from Southeast Asia during the last century. They learnt from the architectural style of Southeast Asia at that time. Haikou arcaded buildings initially formed in the 19th century to 1940s, dating back over 100 years ago. Sipai Building is the oldest building in Haikou Arcaded Streets and it was built in the Southern Song Dynasty, having a history of more than 600 years.
