시아파

시아파는 예언자 무함마드의 혈통만이 이슬람의 지도자가 될 수 있다는 이슬람의 한 종파이다. 무함마드의 사촌동생이며 사위인 알리를 추종하고 있다. 카와리즈에 의해 죽은 알리를 순교자로 믿고 추종하며, 알리의 자손을 숨어 있는 이맘으로 간주하고 언젠가 다시 돌아올 구세주로 여기고 있다.

Shia Islam

Shia Islam is one of the two main branches of Islam. It holds that the Islamic prophet Muhammad designated Ali ibn Abi Talib as his successor and the Imam after him, most notably at the event of Ghadir Khumm, but was prevented from succeeding Muhammad as the leader of all Muslims as a result of the choice made by Muhammad's other companions at Saqifah.
