조반니 보카치오 (1313-1375)
르네상스 시대 이탈리아의 시인이자 작가. 동시대 시인인 페트라르카와 함께 이탈리아 르네상스를 대표하는 시인으로 평가받는다. 다만 그의 대표작인 '데카메론'이 산문작품이기 때문에 오늘날에는 시인보다는 르네상스 산문 문학의 대표자로 평가받고 있다
