Stork Village (Cigoc)
In the very heart of the Lonjsko polje Nature Park is the European stork village - Čigoč. Due to extremely favorable conditions, white storks nest in almost every house, barn or other structure. They usually come to this area in mid-March and leave for the warmer parts of Africa in late August to return the following year. In previous years, it seems incredible, there were more storks in the village than locals.
