중화민국 총통부

중화민국 총통부는 중화민국 타이베이시에 있는 총통의 관저이다. 현재 사용하고 있는 총통부 건물은 1919년에 타이완 총독부로 쓰기 위해 일본 제국이 지었던 건물이다. 제2차 세계 대전에 패한 일본이 물러간 후, 총독부 건물은 중화민국 소유가 되었다. 그 후 장개석 총통 출생 60주년을 기려 건물 이름을 개수관 이라고 고쳤다. 1949년에 국공내전에서 패배한 중화민국 정부가 중국 대륙에서 타이완으로 이동한 이후부터 현재까지 총통의 관저로 활용하고 있다. 과거에는 중화인민공화국 국민들의 관람이 금지되었지만 마잉주 총통 체제 이후 중국 대륙에서 온 관광객들도 관람할 수 있다.

Taiwan's Presidential Office Building

The Office of the President was established according to the Constitution of the Republic of China on May 20, 1948 in the Presidential Palace in Nanjing, with the inauguration of the first President Chiang Kai-shek and the first Vice President Li Zongren. However, with the outbreak of Chinese Civil War, the government of the Republic of China retreated to Taiwan in December 1949. On March 1, 1950, Chiang Kai-shek resumed his presidency in the former office of the Japanese Government-General of Taiwan in Taipei. The building is used as the Presidential Office Building since then.

대만총독부

대만총독부는 청일 전쟁의 결과로 청나라로부터 할양된 대만을 통치하기 위하여 설치된 일본 제국의 식민 통치 기관이다. 중앙 기관 소재지는 타이베이시이며, 1895년 5월 10일에 설치되어 1945년 10월 25일에 폐지되었다. 대만총독부의 청사는 현재 중화민국 총통부로 사용되고 있다. 대만총독부는 1895년에 시모노세키 조약 체결로부터 1945년의 일본의 항복까지 대만을 통치한 기관이다. 대만총독은 대만의 행정·사법·입법·군사에 대한 모든 권한을 행사하였다.

Government-General of Taiwan

The Government-General of Taiwan was founded on May 10, 1895, two days after the Treaty of Shimonoseki was enforced. It started to rule Taiwan since June 17, 1895 after the Japanese forces took over Taiwan. On August 15, 1945, with the surrender of Japan, the organizations of Government-General was transformed to the newly established Taiwan Provincial Government and Taiwan Garrison Command. The transformation was completed on February 20, 1946.
