벤자민 프랭클린 (1706-1790)

벤저민 프랭클린은 미국의 "건국의 아버지" 중 한 명이자 미국의 초대 정치인 중 한 명이다. 그는 특별한 공식적 지위에 오르지는 않았지만, 프랑스 군과의 동맹에 있어 중요한 역할을 해, 미국 독립에 중추적인 역할을 했다. 피뢰침, 다초점 렌즈 등을 발명하였다. 달러화 인물 중 대통령이 아닌 인물은 알렉산더 해밀턴(10달러)과, 벤저민 프랭클린(100달러) 두 명뿐이다.

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790)

As a scientist, he was a major figure in the American Enlightenment and the history of physics for his discoveries and theories regarding electricity.

Franklin Court

Franklin Court is complex of museums, structures, and historic sites within Independence National Historical Park in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It is located at the site which American printer, scientist, diplomat, and statesman Benjamin Franklin had his Philadelphia residence from 1763 to his death in 1790.
