굿샤로호

쿳샤로코는, 홋카이도의 데시카가쵸에 있는 일본 최대의 칼데라호. 면적은 79.45㎢, 주위는 57km, 최대 수심은 117m의 호수로, 현재 전 지역이 아칸 국립 공원으로 지정됐다. 호수 안에는, 주위 12km, 면적 5.7㎢로, 일본 담수호 내에 있는 것 중에 제일 큰 나카지마(나카 섬)가 떠 있으며, 호숫가에는 카와유 온센(카와유 온천), 와코토노 유, 코탄노 유 등의 노천탕이 있다. 수면의 청색과, 주위에 펼쳐진 원시림의 신록이 눈에 선명한 쿳샤로코는, 그 경치의 아름다움뿐만 아니라, 자연의 풍요로움에서, 야영과 요트, 윈드 서핑, 낚시 등을 즐기려고 많은 사람들로 붐빈다. 또, 겨울이 되면 호수 전면이 얼지만, 지열에 의해 녹은 부분에는 매년 400에서 500마리의 백조가 쉬려고 찾아오기 때문에, 그 모습을 보러 오는 사람들도 많다.

Kussharo-ko Lake

Lake Kussharo is the largest caldera lake Japan in Teshikaga-cho, Hokkaido. The area of the lake is 79.45 km2, circumference is 57 km, and depth is 117 m. It is a part of Akan National Park. The lake’s central island, Nakajima (circumference: 12 km, area: 5, 7 km2), is a composite volcano. There are several hot springs and open air baths: Kawayu Onsen, Wakoto-no-yu, Kotan-no-yu. The blue lake and the green pristine forest are not only beautiful but also perfect for camping, yachting, windsurfing and fishing. In winter, the lake freezes completely; however, due to terrestrial heat some parts melt and every year 400-500 whooper swans rest here which attracts a lot of tourists.
