쇠른 키에르케고르 (1813-1855)
쇠렌 오뷔에 키르케고르는 덴마크의 철학자, 신학자, 시인, 사회비평가이다. 실존주의 철학자의 선구자로 평가받기도 한다. 키르케고르는 사실상 실존주의의 시조라고 할 수 있는 아르투어 쇼펜하우어를 매우 만나고 싶어 했으나 그러지 못했고, 쇼펜하우어에게 막대한 영향을 받았다.

Søren Kierkegaard (1813-1855)
Søren Aabye Kierkegaard was a Danish theologian, philosopher, poet, social critic, and religious author who is widely considered to be the first existentialist philosopher. He wrote critical texts on organized religion, Christianity, morality, ethics, psychology, and the philosophy of religion, displaying a fondness for metaphor, irony, and parables. Much of his philosophical work deals with the issues of how one lives as a "single individual", giving priority to concrete human reality over abstract thinking and highlighting the importance of personal choice and commitment.
