산타마리아 노벨라 성당

산타 마리아 노벨라 성당은 이탈리아 피렌체 산타마리아 노벨라 역 근처에 있는 성당이다. 1279년부터 1357년까지 도미니코 수도회 수도사들이 지었다.

Santa Maria Novella

Santa Maria Novella is a church in Florence, Italy, situated just across from the main railway station named after it. Chronologically, it is the first great basilica in Florence, and is the city's principal Dominican church.

마사초

마사초는 이탈리아의 작은 마을 산조반니발다르노에서 1401년 공증인의 아들로 태어났다. 5살이 되던 해 아버지가 사망하자 그의 어머니는 늙은 약방 주인과 재혼한 것으로 전해진다. 그는 미술에 대한 정열이 지나쳐 외모에는 전혀 신경을 쓰지 않았기 때문에 '지저분한 톰'이라고 불렸다고 한다. 아무튼 1423년에서 1425년 사이에 마사초는 많은 인물화와 프레스코, 성당의 제단화를 그린 것으로 추측된다.

The Holy Trinity, with the Virgin and Saint John and donors (Italian: Santa Trinità) is a fresco by the Early Italian Renaissance painter Masaccio. It is located in the Dominican church of Santa Maria Novella, in Florence.

도메니코 기를란다요

도메니코 기를란다요는 이탈리아의 화가이다. 주요 작품으로는 '성프란체소코전', '베드로와 안드레의 소명'등이 있다. 그는 피렌체의 생활과 풍속을 웅변으로 설명하였다. 그곳의 산타 마리아 노벨라 성당 내에 그린 성모전(聖母傳) 연작의 일부인 성모 마리아의 탄생>(1486∼90)의 장면은 명확히 당시의 귀인(貴人)의 산실(産室)을 찾아 보는 귀부인의 일행을 묘사하고 있다.

Domenico Ghirlandaio

Domenico Ghirlandaio was an Italian Renaissance painter born in Florence. Ghirlandaio was part of the so-called "third generation" of the Florentine Renaissance, along with Verrocchio, the Pollaiolo brothers and Sandro Botticelli.
