구닝터우 전투박물관 (古寧頭戰史館)

1949년 10월 25일 밤, 만 명에 가까운 중공 해방군이 밤을 틈타 바다를 건너 구닝터우에 상륙하여, 중화민국군과 3일 밤낮의 격렬한 전투가 발생하였고, 이 전투가 바로 유명한 '구닝터우 전쟁'다. 바로 이 구닝터우 해변에서 중화민국군이 중화인민공화국군을 섬멸하고 최후의 승리를 얻은 곳이다. 이 성전을 기념하기 위해, 특별히 1984년 당시의 전지에 '구닝터우 전사관'을 세웠다. 오래된 성을 본 뜬 건축 외관은 문앞의 용사 동상 및 당시 모래밭을 누볐던 M5A형 전차를 더욱 부각시켜 주며 과거의 격렬했던 전투를 마치 눈앞에서 보는 듯한 착각을 일으킨다. 전사관은 당시 장중정 선생의 지휘하에 작전을 수행했던 전장에 위치해 있는데, 대지는 근 200평에 달하고, 사방의 벽에는 당시의 전황을 묘사하는 12폭의 거대한 유화가 걸려있다. 전시장에는 전리품, 역사문건 및 유공자의 사진 등이 전시되어 있으며, 당시 전쟁의 다큐멘터리를 매일 상영하고 있다.

Guningtou Battle Museum

On December 24, 1949, the Guningtou Battle marked Kinmen as the front line in the long-term standoff between the Communist Party in China and KMT in Taiwan. When the routine shelling on both sides of the Strait finally ended in 1979, the military established this museum to commemorate the historic battle. The castle-like museum is guarded by M5A1 tanks, the "Bears of Kinmen" that served in Guningtou Battle. Inside, you can see other weapons used, documents and photos of the commanders. Large oil paintings portray the scenes of the battle as they unfolded.

구닝터우 전투 (1949.10.25-27)

구닝터우 전투 또는 진먼 전투는 제2차 국공 내전 중이었던 1949년 10월에 중화민국과 중화인민공화국이 금문도를 두고 벌인 전투이다. 이 전투에서 중국 인민해방군이 대패하여 중화인민공화국은 금문도 점령에 실패하였고, 중화민국 정부의 타이완 지배가 공고해졌다.

Battle of Guningtou (1949.10.25-27)

The Battle of Guningtou or Battle of Kuningtou was a battle fought over Kinmen in the Taiwan Strait during the Chinese Civil War in 1949. The failure of the Communists to take the island left it in the hands of the Kuomintang (Nationalists) and crushed their chances of taking Taiwan to destroy the Nationalists completely in the war.
